Our History
Founded by Roland Tanner, BA, PhD, and Pamela Ritchie, BA, MLitt, PhD, TRWA is a division of TannerRitchie Publishing, a digital academic publisher specializing in historical sources. As part of our work for our own company we developed extensive experience in a wide range of website and custom web application programming.
We first began building websites in 1999, in those days primarily in HTML and JavaScript. Today we build websites using the full range on internet technologies: PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS3, HTML5, Bootstrap, LESS, SASS, Node, Laravel, Smarty … the list goes on and on …, and we’ve worked extensively with prominent CMS and CRMS softwares: WordPress, Drupal, Joomla and CiviCRM, designing custom plugins and features for these popular platforms.
Our clients now include a wide range of industries and specialisms, from major manufacturers of office furniture, to some of the world’s leading academic institutions in Canada and the UK.
